The road to sustainable finance: Leveraging space and AI for a greener future

Sustainable finance is increasingly gaining momentum as global economic activities surpass the natural boundaries of our planet and institutional investors lean towards sustainable investments. With the help of satellite imagery and geospatial data, the financial sector can access more robust and transparent information about the risks and opportunities, including ESG analysis, and enable the scalability of sustainable financial products. This panel discussion aims to delve into the uncharted territory of space economics and its profound impact on sustainability on Earth.

The panel will discuss the opportunities the space sector can offer to the financial ecosystem and how the real-time spatial data with the advances in artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies can potentially support the transition to a sustainable global economy. Finally, it aims to highlight the value of the democratization of space, which has enabled access to satellite data to anyone interested including the investors and financial value chain.
