Accelerating and deepening international cooperation – barriers and opportunities

With over 70 Space Agencies now established across the globe, there is an increasing number of opportunities to collaborate to unlock the value of space-based capabilities. The panel will discuss and debate the key characteristics of the international landscape to highlight the macro trends and any lessons from international cooperation so far. Further, the panel will consider how some of the real and perceived barriers may be overcome – such as regulatory, technology, cultural, political, and national security concerns. Finally, looking forward – the panel will address how space agencies can act as the catalyst for even greater collaboration in the next decade.
